Forward Family Shelter

Currently completing construction, CCOC’s Forward Family Shelter is a 49 unit, family-oriented, affordable housing apartment building on the former Forward Family Shelter site. The development is “mixed-income” housing and includes CMHC Average Market Rent rates, Below Market rates, and ODSP shelter rates. The development is designed to the environmentally efficient Passive House standard, which will reduce tenants’ utility costs. The development will feature seven parking spaces, 49 bicycle parking spots, as well as dedicated green space for tenants to enjoy. A laundry room will be in the building.

CCOC has harnessed a strong team of consultants, including Cahdco for project management, Figurr Architects Collective as the architect, and MBC Inc as the construction manager.
