Cahdco specializes in developing various types of affordable housing projects. We broker partnerships between non-profit housing organizations, faith groups, market developers, and government funding programs to create:
- Women’s shelters
- Transitional housing
- Supportive housing
- Community service spaces
- Mixed-income affordable rental housing
- Affordable homeownership
Cahdco primarily develops in and around the Ottawa Valley Region and Eastern Ontario. Cahdco also provides capacity development training and programming across Canada.
Toolbox+ by Cahdco is a national community of practice to increase the amount of affordable housing development corporations across Canada and their capacity to create affordable housing. Once offered as free scheduled programs, Cahdco now offers these programs on-demand.
Toolbox+ consists of several programs that will administer different types of learning opportunities depending on the needs of the participant organization – see our Toolbox+ page for more.
The programs when offered as public intensives are 4 half-days (maximum 3 hours per day, starting at 12 PM EST). When offered on-demand the client has more flexibility in timing and covered topics.
